Suppose 20 people enroll in medical school to become physicians, but when the first semester for the freshman class convenes there are only four of the 20 who show up for class. Then two more enroll the second week. At the end of the month there are a total of eight students. At the beginning of the second year five more of the 20 enroll. And then finally toward the end of the third year all 20 come to class to become medical doctors. You may be thinking that it is just plain silly to suggest that medical doctors be trained in this manner.

Okay, that may not be the way to train medical doctors, but what I have described with students coming into the classroom at different times is a model of what happens in most church congregations for discipleship training.

Practically every speaker predicted that it is a matter of when, not if, public schools will implode, collapse, become totally irrelevant, and loose public tax support.

I spend a lot of time thinking about America, her people, her Christian heritage and her obvious slide toward moral bankruptcy. Just as a physician must have a proper diagnosis in order to recommend treatment for his patient, we who yearn for a turn-around in America must try to determine why we have lost our collective way.

Just about the time you think you have seen stupid reach a new low with liberals like the American Civil Liberties Union you hear about another case. We can fight to do something about ignorance, but fighting stupidity is not wise; it is not worth the effort. Most of us are probably getting a little numb hearing about all the weird decisions being made by government employees and lawsuits filed by the ACLU against God-fearing Americans. Actually, the crux of the problem lies in whether or not people fear God. The ACLU and their supporters hate God and they could care less about your liberties.

As each year passes by it becomes more evident that the younger generations of men are becoming more effeminate, a product of American culture that probably got its jump start in the late sixties. Young women during that time believed the biggest lie since Eve listened to the Serpent in the Garden of Eden.

As a shepherd I try to repeat management practices that have worked in the past. However, circumstances change that may present a new situation, one that may lack a previous pattern to follow. I was amazed to watch some sheep earlier this month go for several days without eating because they did not know the hay in front of them was to satisfy their hunger.

E. Ray Moore Jr., Exodus Mandate’s founder and director made some excellent statements that prompted me to use his quote for the title of this article. The following paragraph is from an article by Lee Duigon as posted on the Chalcedon web site about a month ago.

Boys will be boys. At least that was a common statement when I was growing up in these West Virginia hills. We did the bold Halloween pranks, hunted ground hogs and squirrels, worked in the hay fields when every bale had to be manhandled about four times to get it stored in the barn. We built tree houses, dammed up the creek to make a swimming hole, hunted bull frogs with a flash light and a quick hand, and then brought 'em home and ate 'em.
